Filtrbox Basic Service Discontinuation

You are receiving this email because you have an active Filtrbox Basic account. This final notice serves to remind you that the free service will be discontinued after March 31, 2010.

As you probably know, Filtrbox was recently acquired by Jive Software. As a result, our priorities and resources have shifted to better support both the G2 service and our integration with Jive's market-leading Social Business Software platform. We regret the discontinuation of the consumer service and any inconvenience this may cause.

After March 31, 2010, your account and all associated data will be deleted. If you would like to keep your Filtrs and data by upgrading to Filtrbox G2, please contact us immediately via email (sales@filtrbox.com).

Thanks for being a Filtrbox Basic user and for all of the support you have shown us over the last three years. I know many of you are using Filtrbox Basic for business purposes, and if Social Media Monitoring & Engagement are part of your business strategy, please check out our upcoming release (to be announced in April).

Adobe Flash Builder 4 and Flex 4 Now Available

We're happy to report that last week, Adobe released new versions of Flash Builder software (previously Adobe® Flex® Builder™) and the open source Flex framework. Flash Builder 4 and Flex 4 are now available for download and purchase.
Adobe Flash® Builder™ 4 enables developers to rapidly build applications with the Flex framework, introspect services, and use a simple drag-and-drop approach to bind specific methods to UI components. Developers can use the new Network Monitor to see precisely what data their application is sending and receiving, import functional UI elements created by designers using Adobe Flash Catalyst™ software, and bind services to UI components. Flash Builder 4 also simplifies complex development, so tasks such as synchronizing data throughout the application and paging large record sets are easier than ever.
Along with the new version of the Flex framework and Flash Builder, Adobe released a new beta of the next version of Flash Player—Flash Player 10.1. Flash Player 10.1 will be the first version to run on desktops and mobile devices, so as we get closer to launch, Adobe will continue to make improvements to performance.
This month's newsletter features tons of content related to the release of Flex 4 and Flash Builder 4, and David Tucker's RIAs that Rock column has some great Adobe AIR® features that help developers build Adobe AIR applications. Let us know what you've built on the Flash Platform—we always like to hear from you. E-mail us at rianewsletter@adobe.com.
Happy coding!

Pop-Under Ads for Increased Revenue Announced

We are happy to announce that starting April 1st, 2010, BidVertiser will be supporting Pop-Under Ads.

Pop-Under Ads are opened behind the active browser window, and are showing up only once per 24 hours per user, which make them completely non-intrusive. Actually, your website visitors won't even see these ads until they're finished browsing your site.

The great news are that revenue payouts for Pop-Under Ads are significantly higher than traditional display ads and our top publishers were making an additional revenue of over $500 per day during the Beta test period!

The revenue payment for the Pop-Under Ads will be listed as part of the new Conversion Bonus payment as a separate row in your standard monthly payment report.

As with the previous Conversion Bonus that we have announced last month, quality of traffic makes a difference in this case as well and publishers with high quality traffic will enjoy extended Conversion Bonus payments.

Important Notice: Pop-Under Ads will be automatically enabled for ALL Publishers. If you wish to disable them, please follow these steps:

1. Login to your account - you may log into your Advertiser account using your username and password at:
http://www.bidvertiser.com/bdv/BidVertiser/bdv_login.dbm

2. Click "Preferences"

3. Under "Display Pop-Under Ads" choose "No"

4. Click "Update"

5. Repeat this step for each ad spot that you run

Please remember, however, that allowing Pop-Under Ads will result in higher conversion bonuses in your monthly payment, and since they will not interfere users while they browse your site, we recommend having them enabled.

Best Regards,

Seesmic Desktop Platform Videos

In a few weeks the Seesmic platform will launch entirely driven by plugins: a chance to drive traffic and generate revenue to your service or site by integrating into Seesmic Desktop. Seesmic Platform creator Marco Kaiser explains how you can build a plugin and what they can do.

Add your name to http://platform.seesmic.com to get the SDK as soon as it becomes available

2010-03-25_15.09.11

We've been getting great feedback on our announcement of the Seesmic Desktop Platform (SDP) and Seesmic for Windows Phone, as well as the upcoming release for the Seesmic Software Development Kit (SDK).

In assessing the impact on SDP, NextWeb posted their thoughts and some suggestions on a couple of things they would like to see. What are some of the features you would like to see? We'll have a place for those ideas very soon.

We're anticipating a lot of interest as we have hundreds of people that have signed up to be notified for the SDK release. Channel 9 sat down with Loic, Marco and Mathieu on our announcement for the Seesmic Desktop Platform and the Seesmic for Windows Phone. A little geek alert: there's a lot of technical questions discussed here, so you were warned.

New CB Facebook and Twitter Connect plugins boost your membership website!

We would also like to share with you our latest and hottest news flash regarding the release of our two new authentication plugins: the CB Facebook and Twitter Connect plugins.

Community Building is all about membership and often a successful membership site is measured by its membership population. Sites that empower Facebook Connect or Twitter Sign-in technologies have been experiencing an increase in their membership attraction rate by as much as 40%! You can now put this technology to use on your CB powered websites by downloading our latest CB add-ons: the CB Facebook Connect and CB Twitter Connect plugins.

These just released CB authentication plugins allow users to sign-in / login to your CB 1.2.2 website using their Facebook or Twitter credentials, completely bypassing the registration and login form process! Both plugins are open-source and are each packaged with a 20 page detailed guide and are available for immediate download to all CB Documentation subscribers as yet another thank you for their subscription and support. The plugins also synchronize selectable data from Facebook or Twitter accounts to CB fields on your website. A very powerful solution that broadens your website reach to the over 500 million Facebook/Twitter members who will be able to join your website with a single mouse button click!

Read the CB Facebook and Twitter Connect Release Announcement.
Combine CB Facebook Connect and Twitter Connect with CBSubs to reach 500 million potential customers!

The CB Facebook Connect and Twitter Connect plugins interface nicely with our CB Subscriptions paid membership solution - CBSubs, allowing you to monetize the added value of your CB powered website content to the combined 500 million membership of Facebook and Twitter. Experience this integration on our CBSubs demo site.

CB Documentation Subscriber download add-ons are now 13!

With the addition of these two newly released plugins the total number of CB Team released add-ons that are available to CB Documentation subscribers as a thank you for their continued support has reached the number 13 and more add-ons are being prepared as we speak

There are some really important add-ons that are offered as part of the CB Documentation subscription package:

* The CB Privacy plugin allows website administrators to turn on privacy features for and CB field or tab thus empowering each website user to decide how these fields/tabs are to be published or hidden depending on the viewer.
* The CB Ajax File fieldtype plugin allows you create CB file fields which your members can use to upload for example their CV pdf file.

Visit the CB Documentation subscription page to see all add-ons.
CB Documentation Subscription Value and price increase

We would like to take this opportunity to inform you in advance that while the CB Documentation subscription value has just increased (with the 2 new plugins) and will continue to increase (with new add-ons), we will also be increasing the yearly subscription fee by 10 Euros. As of March 29th, the yearly subscription fee will become 35 Euros (instead of its current 25 Euro price). We respect our Joomlapolis community and want to give you early information about this now decided increase, so if you want to benefit from these new CB Facebook and Twitter Connect plugins and from the other add-ons offered to CB Documentation subscribers, now and for next 12 months, you can still do so at our before increase price of 25 Euros (appr. 34 USD). That converts to u nder 2 Euros an add-on! A great value for money proposal. Act now! Don't miss out on this opportunity - we will not email you about this again.

4 - Leveraging Competitive Intelligence: Choosing Affiliate Partners by Identifying Sources of Traffic to Your Competitor's Site

By using Hitwise to chart upstream traffic to your competitors' sites, you
can view the most popular websites that your competitors get visitors from
that you do not. For example, assume one of your competitors is
www.jcrew.com. Using Hitwise Clickstream reports, you can view that among
all the most popular Rewards and Directory sites, you should consider
partnering with are Nextag (http://www.nextag.com) and The Find
(http://www.thefind.com)- and traffic from The Find is growing at the
fastest rate. You can use this insight to determine the best partners for
driving traffic to your website.

For Hitwise clients who would like to discuss this application further,
please contact Hitwise Customer Support at support.us@hitwise.com, or visit

an industry that attract a specific segment. For example, the top three

The Westin Hotels and Resorts (http://www.starwoodhotels.com/westin) and
Cruise Critic (http://www.cruisecritic.com/)for the four weeks ending

Secret. They're also big purchasers of all sorts of tech gear, including

7 - Hitwise Intelligence Blogs: Facebook Visitors Come Back Again and Again

March 18, 2010 - Heather Hopkins

A few weeks ago when I posted my blog entry about Facebook being the
largest news reader I received a few comments and emails noting that
visitors aren't as valuable if they don't come back. Advertisers and
retailers need some assurance that visitors will return again and again.

Hitwise data indicate that visitors from Facebook.com are more loyal to
News and Media websites than are visitors from News.Google.com. In
particular, among the top 5 Print Media websites in the week ending March
6, 2010, 78% of Facebook.com users were returning visitors compared to 67%
from Google News. The figures are almost identical for Broadcast Media,
with a 77% returning rate for Facebook.com compared to 64% for Google
News.

checking info on InteractiveBastille
InteractiveBastille asks questions to the user in order to define what

InteractiveBastille is then used by BastilleBackEnd to make the changes
to the local system if the administrator agrees to run the changes. In
any case, the same configuration can be used to harden other (similar)
